NEW DELHI: Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has etched his name in cricket history by surpassing Ravichandran Ashwin’s all-time record to achieve the highest rating points ever by an Indian bowler in the ICC Men’s Test Bowling Rankings. Following his exceptional nine-wicket performance in the fourth Test against Australia in Melbourne, Bumrah now holds 907 rating points, surpassing his previous best of 904 points.
This remarkable achievement places Bumrah joint-17th on the all-time list, alongside England’s former spinner Derek Underwood. The all-time top positions are held by England’s Sydney Barnes (932) and George Lohmann (931), with Imran Khan (922) and Muttiah Muralitharan (920) following closely.
