NEW DELHI: Jarno Opmeer F1 Sim Racing Champion has secured the 2025 F1 Sim Racing World Championship. The Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing driver clinched his third career title in Stockholm, Sweden.

 

He finished 7th in the final round at the EFG Studio. This result was enough to secure the championship.

A Record-Breaking Win

 

Opmeer is one of the greatest in F1 Sim Racing history. He previously won in 2020 and 2021, representing Alfa Romeo Esports and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Esports.

 

His third title makes him the most successful driver in the championshipโ€™s history. He surpasses Brendon Leigh, who won back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018.

 

This victory also marks two consecutive years of dominance for Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing. Danish driver Frederik Rasmussen won the 2023-24 title for the team.

In the final race, Opmeer started from 14th on the grid. He battled through the field and secured enough points to claim the championship.

 

Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing also clinched the 2025 Teams Championship. The team won $130,000 (~ยฃ100,673) in prize money.

 

This marks Red Bullโ€™s third team championship in eight years. The team has also excelled in other sim racing events. It won the Porsche Esports Supercup in 2020 and 2024, with Sebastian Job securing both victories.

 

F1 Sim Racing is operated by ESL FACEIT Group, a major esports organizer. The group has hosted several sim racing events on the RENNSPORT platform.

 

For the 2025 season, ESL R1 has rebranded to RENNSPORT R1, signaling a shift in the competitionโ€™s format.
