NEW DELHI: Sukesh Chandrasekhar, a conman currently in jail and accused of swindling ₹200 crores, has extended a helping hand to the victims of the Odisha train accident. In a letter addressed to the railway minister, he expressed his willingness to contribute ₹10 crores towards the financial aid for the affected people.
Despite being incarcerated, Sukesh has been consistently writing letters to his alleged girlfriend, actress Jacqueline Fernandez. Additionally, he penned a letter to Delhi LG VK Saxena, levying multiple allegations against the AAP-led Delhi government.
Remarkably, the Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and Enforcement Directorate (ED), currently investigating the money and properties amassed by Sukesh through fraudulent means, have endorsed his offer to help the train accident victims.

The letter, written from cell number 11 of Mandoli Jail, stated that the contribution stems from Sukesh’s personal funds, acquired legitimately through taxed income. He also enclosed the necessary documentation to substantiate his claims regarding the taxation of the funds.
In the letter, Sukesh expressed his profound sorrow over the tragic accident, which deeply affected him. He empathized with those who lost their loved ones or sustained injuries, offering his heartfelt prayers and condolences to the affected families.
He extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah, and the railway minister Ashwini Vaishnav for their unwavering support and prompt action during these trying times.
Sukesh commended their dedication to serving every citizen, not only during good times but also during the most challenging moments. He considered it a privilege to witness such exemplary leadership.

Sukesh further clarified that while the government is already providing necessary assistance to the affected individuals, he, as a responsible and law-abiding citizen, wishes to contribute ₹10 crores specifically towards the education expenses of the affected families’ children—the future youth who lost their primary breadwinners.
He emphasized that the funds should be allocated exclusively for the educational needs of each child affected by the tragedy, spanning their schooling, high school, and college education.
“As part of my organizations, namely Sharadha Foundation, Chandrashekhar Cancer Foundation, and LS Education, we have been consistently contributing to healthcare, education, and providing meals to the underprivileged across five states in Southern India,” Sukesh stated.
