I-T Searches At Baghpat, Agra; Kicks Row, Dirt In UP Polls

NEW DELHI/LUCKNOW: The Income Tax department on Tuesday once again swung into action and carried out searches at multiple locations in Delhi, Agra and Noida on the premises linked to ACE group and its senior official, Ajay Chaudhary.

The IT officials said that the agency also carried out searches at premises of Chaudhary in Baghpat. Chaudhary is said to be close to the senior leadership of a political party.

Meanwhile, the IT department sleuths also carried out searches at the premises linked to a shoe company — Nuova shoes — in Agra. The Nuova shoes is an associate company of RCCK.

Two days ago, the IT department carried out searches at premises linked to Pushparaj Jain, an MLC from Samajwadi Party.
The IT department searches on businessmen in poll bound Uttar Pradesh has caused a major political row, with the Opposition parties slamming the central government of using central agencies as a tool ahead of crucial assembly polls.
