IT Dept Searches Premises Linked To Transporter Rintu Singh

RAIPUR: The Income Tax Department carried out searches at several premises linked to Rintu Singh, who runs a transport company named Jai Ambe transports.

According to IT department sources related to development, the searches at premises of Singh started in the morning.

The source said that the IT department sleuths took the assistance of the para-military forces during the searches.

The source said that Jai Ambe Transport is one of the top five transport companies operating in Chhattisgarh and Singh has very good contacts with senior Congress leaders in the state.

However, senior officials of the IT department are tight-lipped over the agency’s actions. The agency officials also refused to share the details of the case on the matter of searches at the premises of Singh and Jai Ambe transports.
