Infiltration Bid Foiled, Massive Operation Underway

SRINAGAR: A massive anti-terror operation is underway in Poonch as Army on Wednesday foiled an infiltration bid from Pakistan along the Line of Control in Poonch.

The bid was filed in the Sarla area of Poonch along the LoC, the alert troops challenged a group of terrorists who were trying to cross the border.

“During the midnight hours of 12/13 July 2022, there was an infiltration attempt along LoC in the Poonch sector (J&K), which was suitably foiled by our alert troops,” Indian Army said, adding that troops have launched massive searches in the area with as soon as the first light broke.

Army said that a group of heavily armed terrorists tried to sneak into Indian territory from the General area of Khari in Poonch which was observed by the Anti Infiltration grid in place. This was followed by the troops of the Army in the forward area that thwarted infiltration attempts of terrorists.
