NEW DELHI: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has commended the Indian Army’s premier training institutes for their role in enhancing military strategies and warfare skills. During his visit to the Army War College (AWC), Infantry School, and Military College of Telecommunication & Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, Singh highlighted the institutes’ contributions to national security and technological advancement.

 

 

Singh has reviewed advancements at the Advanced Incubation & Research Centre, including various Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) designed to integrate cutting-edge technologies into military operations. At the Indian Army Marksmanship Unit, he has acknowledged its impact on national sports, and at the Infantry Museum, he has explored the historical evolution of the infantry and its adoption of modernized equipment.

Addressing the troops, Singh has praised their unwavering dedication to protecting India’s borders. He has emphasized the importance of vigilance against evolving geopolitical threats and has urged the forces to remain prepared for challenges on both external and internal fronts.

 

 

The Defence Minister has reiterated the government’s goal of making India a developed and self-reliant nation by 2047. He has described the Indian armed forces as pivotal in achieving this vision, calling them “protectors of our borders and forerunners in nation-building.” Singh has expressed confidence in their continued commitment to national security and their contributions to realizing the vision of “Viksit Bharat.”

Singh has also visited Bhim Janm Bhoomi, the birthplace of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, paying homage to the architect of the Indian Constitution. He has lauded Ambedkar’s lifelong efforts toward social equality and empowerment, describing him as a symbol of selfless service.

 

Singh’s visit underscores the government’s focus on strengthening military preparedness and fostering innovation within the armed forces. His acknowledgement of the Indian army’s role in safeguarding national interests reaffirms the commitment to enhancing India’s defence capabilities in an ever-changing global landscape.
