NEW DELHI: In a commanding display of cricket, India’s women’s team showcased their prowess by bowling out Pakistan for a mere 108 runs. Leading the charge was Pooja Vastrakar, whose sharp short-ball strategy dismantled Pakistan’s top order early on, setting the stage for a dominating performance.

The match began with India’s bowlers putting immense pressure on Pakistan. Vastrakar’s incisive bowling was pivotal, as she clinched crucial wickets early in the innings. The rest of the bowling unit followed suit, maintaining tight lines and restricting Pakistan’s scoring opportunities. Verma’s quickfire 40 off 29 balls and Mandhana’s 45 off 31 balls ensured that India was always ahead in the game. Their confident stroke play and excellent running between the wickets made the chase look effortless.

India comfortably reached the target in just 14.1 overs, securing a victory by 7 wickets. This win not only highlighted India’s superior skills but also extended their dominance over Pakistan in the Women’s Asia Cup. With this victory, India now boasts a 6-1 win-loss record against Pakistan in the competition and an impressive 12-3 record in T20Is overall.
