ERNAKULUM: A series of blasts rocked Kerala on Sunday at a Jehovah’s Witness congregation in Kalamassery, resulting in the death of a woman and injuring 25 others. The blasts occurred during a gathering at the Yahova Convention Centre, where Kerala’s Christians typically engage in religious prayers and discussions.
The incident took place during a condolence prayer meeting in support of Israel, amid their conflict with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Witnesses reported four coordinated explosions, with the first occurring as the prayers commenced, followed by two more blasts on the premises. These blasts happened in the wake of a pro-Palestine march in Kerala’s Malappuram where former Hamas chief, Khaled Meshaal, address the participating demonstrators.
