Fifteen officers, seven from Indian Administrative Services (IAS), have been transferred and given new assignments
J&K revenue secretary Vijay Kumar Bidhuri has been posted as the new divisional commission of Kashmir as part of a major administrative reshuffle in the Union Territory.
Fifteen officers, seven from Indian Administrative Services (IAS), have been transferred and given new assignments, according to the J&K administration on Friday.
A 2005-batch IAS officer, Bidhuri also holds the additional charge of the principal resident commissioner of the J&K government in New Delhi.
According to a government order, AGMUT-cadre IAS officer Dheeraj Gupta – currently serving as principal secretary of the house and urban development department and holding the additional charge of smart cities – has now been posted as the principal secretary of the department of forest, ecology and environment.
1995-batch IAS officer H Rajesh Prasad – currently serving as principal secretary of the power development department – will now hold the additional charge of the principal secretary of the housing and urban development department.
2001-batch AGMUT-batch IAS officer Sanjeev Verma – the principal secretary of the department of forest, ecology and environment – has been transferred and posted as secretary to the general administration department, the order said.
Tourism secretary Sarmad Hafeez has been posted as a permanent secretary to the youth services and sports department.
Special secretary to the finance department, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah has been transferred and posted as administrative secretary to the culture department, relieving JKAS officer Zubair Ahmad from the additional charge. “He shall hold the charge of the post of Chief Executive Officer, Economic Reconstruction Agency, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.”
2012-batch IAS officer Dr Piyush Singla has been posted as administrative secretary to the revenue department.
Rakesh Minhas, IAS (AGMUT 2016 batch), has been posted as managing director at Jammu and Kashmir State Industrial Development Corporation (SIDCO).
JKAS officer Raman Kumar Kesar – currently serving as SIDCO MD –has been posted as secretary to the power development department.
Other officers who have been transferred and posted include JKAS officers Deepika Kumari Sharma, Dr Ghulam Nabi Itoo, Shabir Hussain Bhat, Imam Din, Rajneesh Gupta, Shafat Sultan, and Amit Vermani.
