IIT Delhi Students secure over 1200 job offers in 2024-25 placement

New Delhi: The placement season for IIT Delhi’s academic year 2024-25 has been a resounding success, with students securing over 1200 job offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs).

More than 1150 students have been uniquely selected by various recruiters, showcasing the talent and potential of IIT Delhi graduates.

Among the top recruiters this year are major global companies like American Express, Barclays, BCG, BlueStone Jewellery & Lifestyle, Deutsche India Pvt Ltd, Goldman Sachs, Google, Graviton Research Capital, Intel India, Meesho, Micron Technology, Microsoft, OLA, Oracle, PayU, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments, to name a few.

Several companies have extended double-digit offers, further emphasizing the strong demand for IIT Delhi students in the job market.

In addition to the domestic offers, over 50 international offers have been secured by students, with top organizations across regions including Japan, Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE, United Kingdom, and the United States offering positions. This highlights the global recognition and appeal of IIT Delhi’s academic programs and the caliber of its students.

Prof. Naresh Varma Datla, Professor-in-Charge of the Office of Career Services (OCS), expressed satisfaction with the placement season’s performance. “IIT Delhi had a very good start and has been performing exceptionally well so far. We expect this trend to continue in the coming days. Our focus is on expanding the range of companies and job profiles to cater to a wider variety of interests among students,” he said.

Prof. Suresh Neelakantan, Co-Professor-in-Charge of OCS, congratulated the students on their perseverance and exceptional efforts. The placement season, which will continue until the end of the semester, covers both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

In this year’s NIRF overall rankings, the Indian Institute of technology Delhi secured the 4th position. Infact, since 2018 IIT Delhi has consistently ranked among the top 4 universities in the overall category. In 2024, the institute achieved an overall score of 80.34.
