ICSI to host Middle East Conference in Abu Dhabi from September 4

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is set to host its highly anticipated Middle East Conference from September 4-6, 2024, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The theme of the event is “Responsible Investment for a Sustainable Future”. The event aims to bring together key stakeholders from India and the UAE to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of sustainable finance and investment.

H.E. Abdelrahman Almuaini, Assistant Undersecretary for Intellectual Property at the UAE Ministry of Economy, will inaugurate the conference as the Chief Guest. The event will also feature prominent figures such as A. Amarnath, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in the UAE; Yusuff Ali M. A., Chairman and Managing Director of LuLu Group International; Mr. Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group CEO of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange; and Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, CEO of the ADGM Registration Authority, who will serve as Guests of Honour.

This hybrid conference is expected to attract over 200 delegates in person and approximately 2,000 participants virtually. The event provides a significant platform for government officials, regulators, investors, and business leaders to engage in deep discussions on various aspects of responsible investment.

The conference will cover critical topics such as global trends, opportunities, and challenges in responsible investments; the governance perspective on private equity investment; global stewardship codes and reporting behaviour on responsible investment; and the current landscape of sustainability, innovation, and investments.

Additionally, the conference will delve into the development of a robust ESG investment ecosystem, green financing strategies for corporate finance, leadership for a sustainable and happy planet, and the role of carbon credits in combating climate change for a greener future.
