NEW DELHI: India’s star batter Shubman Gill has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for February 2025.
Gill’s outstanding performances throughout the month earned him this prestigious award. He surpassed Australia’s Steve Smith and New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips to claim the honour.
This is Gill’s third ICC Men’s Player of the Month title. He had previously won the award twice in 2023 — January and September.

In five One-Day Internationals (ODIs), he amassed 406 runs. He averaged an impressive 101.50, scoring at a strike rate of 94.19.
His standout performances came during India’s 3-0 series win against England.
Gill began the series with a confident 87 in Nagpur, playing a vital role in India’s strong start. In the second match, he continued his fine form with a composed 60 in Cuttack.
He saved his best for the final game in Ahmedabad, where he smashed a sensational century.
Gill’s 112 off just 102 balls included 14 fours and three sixes. His powerful knock helped India clinch the series in style.
For his outstanding efforts, Gill was named both the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series.
