Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that the Intelligence Bureau has given AAP a clear majority in upcoming elections in Gujarat. He also asserted after the IB report, the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have joined hands to ensure defeat of his party.
While holding a press conference at Rajkot with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Kejriwal requested the people of Gujarat to be on “alert” as both the BJP and the Congress are doing “secret meetings” to rout AAP in Gujarat elections.
“IB report says if today elections take place in Gujarat, AAP will form the government. However, the victory will be by a slender margin. Hence, we have to give a push to the people of Gujarat so that they overwhelmingly vote in the favour of our party and help us in forming the government,” the Delhi CM stated.
“After this IB report, BJP is in a state of shock. They are conspiring with the Congress and holding secret meetings to make strategy against AAP. Both these parties have been abusing AAP for the past few days. This is all just because of the IB report about AAP’s victory,” he proclaimed.
Kejriwal also asserted some leaders of the Congress wanted to join the BJP but were asked to be with the Congress, else they would not be able to slash AAP’s vote in the state.
“Congress is already finished in Gujarat. They cannot even bag 10 seats in the state. But they can cut the votes of AAP. I request people to be alert,” the 54-year-old said.
“I know people of Gujarat want a change in the state. Don’t fall prey to the politics of Congress and BJP. I appeal to all of you to give vote to us and break the record of Delhi and Punjab,” he concluded.
