How much does Fadnavis Own? Look at his assets declarations in election nominations

NEW DELHI: Devendra Fadnavis, the current Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has made public his assets in affidavits submitted as part of his candidacy for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections. Fadnavis filed his nomination from the Nagpur South-West constituency on Friday, Oct 25 in the presence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, BJP Maharashtra President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and prominent leaders like Bunty Kukde present to support Fadnavis as he submitted his papers.

His declarations provide a detailed breakdown of his financial status, covering both movable and immovable assets.

Fadnavis declared personal cash-in-hand of ₹23,500, and his spouse, Amruta Fadnavis, has ₹10,000 in hand. Their joint bank accounts reveal balances across multiple institutions, such as: ₹26,982.82 in the Bank of Baroda (Nagpur Branch) & ₹23,091.11 in the State Bank of India.

In terms of investments, Devendra Fadnavis holds multiple fixed deposits and insurance policies. His life insurance policies and other savings instruments amount to approximately ₹2.07 million. He also owns gold jewellery weighing 450 grams, valued at ₹3.28 million. His wife Amruta’s jewellery, which weighs 900 grams, is valued at ₹6.57 million.

Fadnavis holds agricultural land inherited from his family, including 1.795 acres of a shared plot in Kosambi village (Chandrapur district) and a 0.511-acre share in another property in Mul (Chandrapur district). These properties, inherited and valued at ₹1.5 million and ₹5.86 million respectively, make up a significant portion of his immovable wealth.

Amruta Fadnavis also owns agricultural land in Kosambi, as well as additional real estate, which further boosts the total asset value for the family.

Over the past five financial years (up to 2023-2024), Devendra Fadnavis has declared total income ranging from ₹2.57 million to ₹3.87 million per year. Meanwhile, his spouse Amruta, a senior executive at Axis Bank, has declared significantly higher incomes, with her latest income for 2023-2024 reported at ₹7.93 million.
