“All over the world, we have become a role model community. Because of our ancient values that have taught us to think world as a global village with Vasudeva Katumbh coinage,” said Ranger who launched his first company Sea, Air and Land Forwarding in 1987, focussing on logistics and freight, from a shed in Hayes with barely 2 pounds as capital.

Lord Ranger praised the media fraternity while mentioning Dua, saying journalism in India has stood up against divisive and anti-national forces and must continue to stall efforts to demean the resolve to take Tricolour forward.

The awardees joined Ranger’s appeal to shoulder the responsibility of fortifying PM Narendra Modi’s objective to climb the GDP ranks of top five in the world order.

“We are going through a period of Amrit Kaal in India for the last decade. India is now marching ahead on the path of development and in the process, we have touched the surface of moon (in a reference to Chandrayaan).

During this Amrit Kaal, even as we faced Covid, we overcame this epidemic by preparing our own home-grown medicine Covaxin and even assisting other countries. We are glad that we share this vision of our Prime Minister on building ties with the UK,” said Justice Yadav, drawing a roaring applause from the attendees.

Bachchan, who is making a sequel to Gini Weds Sunny and Shaadi Mai Zaroor Aana, said his production house would also scout for locations in the UK to showcase the culture of two countries in cinema.

“It’s a privilege to be here and I am thankful to people like Lord Ranger who have invoked nationalism and spirt of fortitude inside us to celebrate the togetherness of our work in two countries,” said Bachchan while annoucing the sequels.

International Secretary of UK chapter of NRI Society, D K Tyagi, who was one of the moderators of the event, insisted that the British Indian diaspora should continue to hold more such extravaganza to enthuse Indians looking for offshore opportunities.

Recalling his own journey from India’s Ghaziabad to owning a hotel and restaurant in London, Tyagi said permanent residency for many Indians like him in the UK could be fulfilled because of determination, skill set and beliefs.

“Although it wasn’t till one fine Tuesday when an immigration firm Vira International helped me settle here, but I owe my journey to my religious values, belief in Lord Hanuman because of which I could get physical and mental strength to overcome challenges and settle my family” said Tyagi, recollecting his early days.
