Hamas leader issues ominous warning of recurring attacks on Israel

A Hamas leader says will repeat the October 7 attack

NEW DELHI: A Hamas leader has said that the organisation would repeat the October 7 Israel terror attacks “again and again” until the country is destroyed. He asserted that Israel has “no place on our land.”

In an interview with Lebanese TV channel LBC on October 24, which was translated and published on Wednesday by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Ghazi Hamad, a Hamas spokesperson, said, “We are not ashamed to say this with full force. We must teach Israel a lesson and we will do this again and again.”

The Hamas leader was asked when he called for the occupation to end. “No, I am talking about all the Palestinian lands,” Hamad stated. When asked another question about the annihilation of Israel, he vehemently replied, “Yes, of course. We must remove that country because it constitutes a security, military, and political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nations and must be finished,” he said.

When asked by the reporter if Hamas would have to pay a price for the war, Hamad replied, “Yes, we are ready to pay for it.” He claimed that Hamas did not want to harm civilians and said there were “complications on the ground”.

“The existence of Israel is illogical. The existence of Israel is what causes all that pain, blood, and tears. It is Israel, not us. We are the victims of the occupation. Period. Therefore, nobody should blame us for the things we do. On October 7, October 10, October 1,000,000 — everything we do is justified, he said.

He added, “We are called a nation of martyrs and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs. Al-Aqsa Flood (name of Hamas’s operation) is just the first time and there will be a second, third, and fourth because we have the determination, the resolve, and capabilities to fight,” he said.
