Goa CM conducts training session towards positioning Goa as a model state

Goa Cheif Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant conducted a two-hour training session for state officials, aiming towards positioning Goa as a model state in India.

NEW DELHI: Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant conducted a two-hour training session for state officials, aiming towards positioning Goa as a model state in India and the critical need for timely task execution to enhance governance.

In his address to all Heads of Departments (HODs), Dr. Sawant urged the adoption of innovative approaches and best practices.

Dr. Sawant emphasised the importance of promptly addressing public complaints and also raised a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption.

 

 

He stressed the need for efficient implementation of central and state government schemes, ensuring that benefits reach the intended recipients without delay.

The Chief Minister also encouraged senior officials, including secretaries, IAS, and IPS officers, to embrace innovation and best practices to expedite public service delivery.

During the session, he reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects in Goa, directing officials to ensure their completion within the stipulated timelines.

Further, Dr. Sawant highlighted the importance of meeting 100% of the targets for key central government projects under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also called on secretaries to improve discipline and efficiency within government offices, ensuring that citizens receive timely and effective public services.

Dr. Sawant is at present conducting comprehensive review of various departments to strengthen their functions and improve service provision to the public. These events are part of his programme.

In addition to the training session, Dr. Sawant recently visited the head office of the Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, where he engaged with staff to discuss necessary changes aimed at increasing efficiency and enhancing ground-level operations. 

On August 10, in celebration of World Biofuel Day, Dr. Sawant also called up for the use of biofuels derived from organic matter, highlighting their potential to contribute to sustainable energy solutions in the state.
