NEW DELHI: Former US President Donald J. Trump made another public statement, asserting that there might not have been a conflict if he were still in office as President. He also criticised the Biden administration and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the midst of the ongoing Israel-Palestinian Hamas conflict, which began on October 7.
Trump said, “With people pouring into our country and we have no idea from where they come, the same people, in many cases, the same people that just attacked Israel, you know that, right? Can you imagine what this guy (Joe Biden) has done to us-what he’s done to us? That would have never happened. The attack on Israel would never, ever have happened.”
These comments were made by Trump during a campaign speech in New Hampshire on October 9. He also didn’t hold back in criticising the Prime Minister Netanyahu-led government for what he perceived as their vulnerability in dealing with Hamas. This happened while he addressed a crowd in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The former president said, “Whoever heard of officials saying on television that they hope the enemy doesn’t attack in a certain area?”

He also directed his criticism at Israel’s Prime Minister, questioning his readiness to handle the Hamas group’s attack. Trump remarked, “He has suffered significant damage due to the events here. He was unprepared. Both he and Israel were unprepared.”
