NEW DELHI: Football 4 Change Academy secured a dominant 4-0 win over BBFS Shillong in the Guwahati regional final of the Dream Sports Championship U-17 tournament.

The event was attended by Assamโ€™s Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Smt. Nandita Garlosa.

She praised the initiative and congratulated Football 4 Change Academy for reaching the national finals.

Encouragement for Grassroots Development

The match started with high intensity. Kishor Tiwari opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a well-placed shot into the net.

Mangminlun Touthang doubled the lead in the 28th minute after a brilliant team move that left the opposition defense struggling.

Tiwariโ€™s 40th-minute penalty made it 3-0 at halftime, as Football 4 Change Academy controlled possession and tempo.

BBFS Shillong made attempts to recover in the second half, but Football 4 Academy continued their aggressive approach.

Mangminlun struck again with a composed finish in the 60th minute, sealing the 4-0 win and securing their spot in the national finals.

With this victory, it now advances to the national finals in Goa. They will compete alongside top teams like SESA Football Academy, Dempo SC, Punjab FC, Chennaiyin FC, Reliance Foundation Young Champs, and Mohun Bagan Super Giant.

Set for April 2025, the finals bring high expectations as the team prepares confidently to make a strong impact.
