NEW DELHI: Five cases lodged against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) based on complaints by various Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have been transferred to the Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of the Special Cell, a source familiar with the investigation told The New Indian.

Additionally, three counter-complaints filed by AAP against BJP and its leaders have not resulted in any FIRs. According to the source, these three complaints have also been handed over to the IFSO unit.
IFSO officials are now investigating the FIRs and the complaints.
“The complaints allege that AAP used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create memes and spread fake information about BJP and its top leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. These memes and alleged derogatory content were shared across various X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook handles. BJP claims that all the social media accounts involved in disseminating these posts are linked to AAP and its leaders,” the source explained.

In its complaints, AAP alleged that the roads shown in BJP’s advertisements were not from Delhi but from Faridabad.
Recently an NCR (Non-Cognizable Report) was lodged against BJP’s Pravesh Verma for distributing shoes in his area. The Election Commission official complained about this connection.
