NEW DELHI: The first edition of the ‘FICCI Young Leaders Awards 2024’ has recognised outstanding young achievers across 13 categories, celebrating their contributions to various fields.
The awards ceremony, organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), showcased the next generation of leaders, innovators, and trailblazers in a rapidly evolving India.
The event featured prominent speakers, including Meeta Rajivlochan, Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of India. She emphasised the role of Indian youth in co-creating a vibrant future, highlighting the importance of energy, enthusiasm, and idealism in building a trustworthy business environment.
“Trust is the most important commodity in business today. Robust institutional mechanisms are the means to generate trust and transform our country’s economic landscape,” Rajivlochan said.

The awards recognised leaders across a spectrum of industries. Ayushmann Khurrana received the ‘Youth Icon Award 2024 (Entertainment)’, while Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra was honoured with the ‘Youth Icon Award 2024 (Sports)’.
Roshni Nadar, CEO of HCL Corporation, was named the ‘Most Promising Next-gen Leader’, and Ghazal Alagh, Co-founder of Mamaearth, took home the ‘Inspiring Woman Leader Award 2024’.
Speaking about the coming year, Aishwarya Bansal, Chair, FICCI Young Leaders Delhi NCR Chapter & Co-Founder, Smartworld Developers mentioned that these awards are extremely crucial as they do more than just honour individual accomplishments.
She further added, “These awards inspire an entire generation to dream bigger, strive harder, and lead with integrity and purpose, as embodied by the FICCI Young Leaders Forum.”
Shashwat Goenka, Chairman of the FICCI Young Leaders Forum, also praised the awardees, noting that young leaders are propelling progress by challenging the status quo and embracing innovation. “Their willingness to take risks and think outside the box is what drives societal change,” he remarked.
Ayushmann Khurrana expressed his pride in being named a Youth Icon, highlighting how his film choices aim to inspire positive change in society and reflect the values of modern India. He focuses on selecting inclusive stories and playing unique roles to connect with people, spread joy, and showcase the vibrancy of Indian youth.
The event culminated with the announcement of awardees across categories, including Aman Gupta, CEO of boAt, who received the ‘Best Entrepreneur Award 2024’ and Infosys, who was recognized as the ‘Sustainability Champion’.
