CHANDIGARH: Farm leader Gurnam Singh Charuni on Friday reached the residence of Haryana Chief MinisterManohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh to discuss matters related to farmers in Haryana.
Charuni reached the residence of Khattar at about 5pm after interacting with the media.
Charuni said, “We got a message from Chandigarh CID that CM Manohar Lal Khattar wanted to meet us. We are here to discuss matter of farmers of Haryana state only.”
He further told that during this meeting they (farmers with CM) will discuss about the cancelling status of the FIR got registered against the farmers, proper compensation and government jobs to those who died during the protest and place identification to construct a memorial for those who lost their lives during the protest.
Charuni also said that after detail discussion with the CM they will meet all the farmers organisations and will hold talk with them.
“A panchayat would take place and the whole matter will be discussed during that panchayat. After that only further course of action would be decided that if the farmers will leave from the borders or not,” Charuni added.
Farmers leader Gurnam Singh Charuni was accompanied by other farmer leaders identified as Ramesh Bains, Rampal Chahel, Joginder Nain and others.
