NEW DELHI: During the ongoing “Good Governance Festival, Sushasan Mahotsav’24” organised by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis emphasised the critical importance of good governance. He likened it to oxygen, stating that while its presence may go unnoticed, its absence proves fatal.

Fadnavis, highlighting Maharashtra’s progress, particularly in Mumbai, attributed the success to the effective model of governance under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He credited the changing mindset of the people to Modi’s leadership, noting significant improvements in various aspects of governance, including infrastructure, sanitation, electricity, and education.
Responding to inquiries about his roles as the Infrastructure Man, Water Man, and now Good Governance Man, Fadnavis attributed these achievements to Prime Minister Modi’s unwavering support. He cited the example of the Atal Bridge in Mumbai, which was a long-standing aspiration finally realised with Modi’s cooperation.

Fadnavis underscored the efficiency of Modi’s governance model, highlighting the swift approvals obtained for projects like the Navi Mumbai airport and metro systems. He praised Modi’s proactive approach to facilitating inter-departmental coordination, which expedited project execution.

Reflecting on the transformation brought about by Modi’s rule, Fadnavis emphasised the improved delivery system, ensuring that welfare schemes and policies directly benefit the people. He commended Modi’s emphasis on democratic delivery mechanisms and technological advancements to facilitate governance.
The two-day Good Governance Festival, held at the Ambedkar International Centre in Delhi on February 9 and 10, is presided over by BJP National President JP Nadda.
