RAJASTHAN : Popular YouTuber and Big Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav was detained by the police in Kota, Rajasthan during a checkpoint in the rural district of Kota. The police promptly informed the Noida police and, after consultation, released Yadav, denying any involvement in any wanted case.

On Friday, an FIR had been lodged against Yadav in Noida, accusing him of participating in the supply of snake venom at rave parties in the Noida-NCR region. Gaurav Gupta, an Animal Welfare Officer at the People For Animal (PFA) organisation, had filed the complaint.
The complaint alleged that Yadav and other content creators have been shooting videos with snakes and venom at farmhouses in Noida. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Maneka Gandhi has also called for Yadav’s arrest after a video circulated on social media, showing him handling and playing with a snake.

During an operation, the police rescued nine snakes, including cobras, from those who attended a party at a banquet hall in Sector 51. This gathering turned out to be a trap set by the animal rights group, People for Animals (PFA).

From one of the people, the police seized a plastic bottle containing 20 millilitres of snake venom. The authorities have sent the seized venom for testing to determine if it possesses psychotropic properties capable of inducing a party drug-like effect in the human body.
