NEW DELHI: Elon Musk has sparked controversy by suggesting a link between several high-profile incidents, including the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, a terrorist attack in New Orleans, and a suicide bombing involving a Ford F-150.

Musk’s comments, made in a recent statement, have raised eyebrows as he implied some form of connection between the events, though no details have emerged to substantiate this claim. His remarks come amid growing concern over global tensions and the possible impact on public security.

The Las Vegas incident occurred on January 1, 2025, when a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel. The driver, identified as 37-year-old U.S. Army veteran Matthew Livelsberger, was killed in the blast. Seven bystanders sustained minor injuries. Authorities discovered that the vehicle, rented through the Turo app, was loaded with fireworks-style mortars. The FBI is investigating the incident as a potential act of terrorism.

Earlier on the same day, a terrorist attack unfolded in New Orleans. Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old U.S. Army veteran, drove a pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street, resulting in at least 15 fatalities and numerous injuries. After the collision, Jabbar opened fire on law enforcement officers, leading to his death at the scene. Authorities found an Islamic State flag and explosives in his vehicle, prompting an investigation into the incident as an act of terrorism.

Musk’s suggestion of a connection between these incidents has raised concerns, especially given the proximity of the Las Vegas explosion to a Trump property. However, authorities have not confirmed any links between the events. The FBI is conducting thorough investigations into both incidents to determine the motives and any potential connections.

The New Orleans attack has left the city in a state of shock, with residents and officials committed to supporting the investigation and seeking justice for the victims. The FBI has assured the public that they are determined to uncover all the facts and will continue their work until the truth is fully known.
