DSP Murder: Haryana Govt Orders Judicial Probe

NEW DELHI: Haryana government on Thursday ordered a judicial enquiry into the murder of DSP Surendra Singh Bishnoi by mining mafias in Nuh two days back.

The probe team will also investigate “all other circumstances of illegal mining” in Mewat, said state home minister Anil Vij.

Family members of the slain police officer had demanded a separate inquiry into the circumstances leading to his murder.

Bishnoi, who was due to retire from the service in the next three months, was crushed to death by a dumper truck of mining mafias during checking on Tuesday.
