NEW DELHI: The Dream Sports Championship Football 2025 National Finals are set to begin on April 8. The tournament will feature international participation. Norwich City FC Youth Team will compete in the second edition.

 

Eight boysโ€™ and eight girlsโ€™ teams from across India will battle for the title. The girlsโ€™ teams are officially nominated by AIFF. They represent Assam, Jharkhand, Kerala, Rajasthan, Goa, Odisha, Karnataka, and Delhi.

 

Matches will be held at SAG Benaulim Football Ground and Utorda Sports Complex. The grand finale will take place at Raia Football Ground on April 15. Football icons Bhaichung Bhutia and Subrata Paul will attend. Fans can watch live on Fancode.

Bhavit Sheth, COO of Dream Sports, expressed his enthusiasm. โ€œThis tournament is a big step for grassroots football. Inviting an international team gives young players global exposure. With the girlsโ€™ category, we aim for inclusivity.โ€ He thanked AIFF for their support.

 


Workshops for Coaches

 

DSF will organize knowledge exchange workshops. Norwich City coaches will lead the sessions under the Dream Again initiative. Topics include coaching leadership, physical & medical awareness, and football staff development.

 

Seven Indian teams secured spots in the National Finals after tough regional rounds. They include Punjab FC Delhi, Reliance Foundation Young Champs Mumbai, Chennaiyin FC Bengaluru, Mohun Bagan Super Giant Kolkata, Football 4 Change Guwahati, SESA FA, and Dempo Sports Club Goa.

 

The tournament follows a group stage format. The top two teams from each group will reach the final in both categories.

 

Norwich City FCโ€™s participation adds an international edge. The club has produced top footballers like Ben Godfrey and James Maddison. They have played in the English Premier League.

 

Football fans and AIFF scouts will follow the matches closely. The tournament is a crucial platform for young footballers. Many aim for professional careers in India and abroad.
