NEW DELHI: The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) is set to display groundbreaking innovations during the 76th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on January 26, 2025. With the theme ‘Raksha Kavach – Multi-layer Protection against Multi-domain Threats’, the DRDO tableau will highlight India’s advancements in defence technology and its commitment to achieving self-reliance under the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative.
The DRDO tableau will showcase a variety of state-of-the-art systems designed to address threats across multiple domains. These include:
- Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QRSAM): A rapid-response air defence system.
- Airborne Early Warning & Control System (AEW&C): For real-time situational awareness.
- 155 mm/52 Cal Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS): An indigenously developed artillery system.
- Drone Detect, Deter & Destroy System: To counter unmanned aerial threats.
- Satellite-Based Surveillance System: Enhancing strategic intelligence.

- Medium Power Radar – Arudhra: Advanced radar technology for tracking and surveillance.
- Advanced Lightweight Torpedo: A compact and efficient underwater weapon.
- Electronic Warfare System – Dharashakti: Cutting-edge electronic defence capabilities.
- Laser-Based Directed Energy Weapon: A futuristic technology for precise targeting.
- Very Short Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS): For low-altitude air defence.
- Indigenous Unmanned Aerial System (UAS): Supporting reconnaissance and combat roles.
- V/UHF Manpack Software Defined Radio: Ensuring secure communication for land forces.
- Indigenous Secure Satellite Phone: For reliable and encrypted communication.
- UGRAM Assault Rifle: A modern, indigenously developed firearm.
The tableau will also feature posters highlighting DRDO’s major milestones in 2024, including:
- Long Range Hypersonic Anti-Ship Missile: A leap in naval warfare technology.
- Lightweight Bullet Proof Jacket ‘ABHED’: Offering enhanced protection to soldiers.
- Divyastra – Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV): For advanced missile capabilities.
- ‘Zorawar’ Light Tank: A versatile and mobile combat vehicle.
- Dornier Mid-Life Upgrade: Equipped with radar, electronic warfare systems, and electro-optic capabilities.

DRDO’s Pralay Weapon System, a tactical surface-to-surface missile featuring cutting-edge technology, will also be on display. Additionally, other DRDO-developed systems, such as the Nag Missile System, Pinaka Rocket System, BrahMos Missile, Short Span Bridging System (10m), and the Akash Weapon System, will feature in various Armed Forces contingents during the parade.
