NEW DELHI: Following the bomb blasts which rocked the state of Kerala amid heightening communal tensions, Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, V. Muraleedharan noted how the tragedy of terror attacks are now being conducted across the state.
“It is disturbing to note that Kerala is becoming a place where such incidents are happening which are considered a terrorist act,” said Muraleedharan. He added that home minister Amit Shah has already coordinated with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who belongs to the Left Democratic Front (LDF).

Speaking to news agencies, he proclaimed that since central agencies have already started looking into the case, they expect to find out the reasons behind the cause of the incident. “The central agencies have already started the inquiry regarding this incident. I am sure that they will go to the details of the incident and find out who and what are the reasons for this and who are behind this incident,” he said.
The MoS further elaborated that he had already spoken to the CM and expected them to provide all kinds of medical assistance to the injured. ”I would like to appeal to the state government to provide all sorts of medical assistance to the injured,” he said.

The bomb blasts had been caused at a Jehovah’s Witness prayer meet at Kalamassery in Kerala. Four coordinated bomb blasts had rocked the entire state, causing the death of one elderly woman, while injuring another 36, which also included children. The prayer meet had been declared underway at the Zamra International Convention Centre.
These bomb blasts took place a day after former Hamas chief addressed a pro-Palestine rally in Malappuram in Kerala, where he appealed for ‘jihad’.
Presently, the case has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) following confirmations from the Kerala DGP of Police, Dr Sheikh Darvesh Sahib, who said that the explosion had been caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
