PM Narendra Modi will be in attendance as BJP hosts a roadshow to celebrate the party’s landslide win in Gujarat
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s landslide win in the Gujarat assembly is a statement win in recent times and the party is leaving no stone unturned to celebrate the landmark win.
On the opening day of the party’s National Executive Meeting in New Delhi on Monday, BJP is going to organise a roadshow to honour PM Modi for the win.
BJP National Executive Meeting will be held at the NDMC convention centre on January 16 and 17.
“We will welcome PM Modi as a grand way to celebrate our big win in Gujarat,” party general secretary Vinod Tawde told The New Indian.
While PM Modi is expected to attend the event, the roadshow will see big participation by party workers as well as the common public.
After the big win in Gujarat, the National Executive Meeting will be the first big meeting of the party. All the top leaders, including PM Modi, Home minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president JP Nadda, are expected to attend the meeting. Around 350 executive members are also expected to attend the meeting.
One of the key agendas of the meeting will be on the party president. Incumbent Nadda’s tenure ends on January 20 and there is every possibility of him getting an extension.
The National Executive Meeting is also likely to discuss India’s G-20 presidency. The party will also discuss the upcoming assembly elections in states like Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, and Jammu & Kashmir.
But perhaps the most awaited event in the meeting will be PM Modi’s address in the concluding session. He is expected to give an action plan for the party’s future course as well as in the upcoming assembly elections.
