NEW DELHI: A video has surfaced online in which a group of men can be seen beating a Dalit women with stick. They are violently assaulting Dalit women and eventually set their house on fire. During an attempt to forcibly evict them from government land where they had built their residence, the disturbing incident, was captured on video. This incident has sparked public outrage and led to a swift investigation by local authorities.
The incident has happened in the Motihari district of Bihar. The victims, identified as Geeta Devi, Bindi Devi, Pratima Devi, and Rinku Devi, sustained severe injuries in the brutal assault. Following the attack, they were initially rushed to a local hospital and later referred to SKMCH in Muzaffarpur for further medical attention.

According to reports, the assailants, identified as Ramjanam Rai and Dinesh Rai, allegedly stormed Geeta Devi’s house. They surrounded the property with a tractor and commenced demolishing it. When the Dalit women resisted the forced eviction, the attackers ruthlessly beat them with sticks and rods. Subsequently, the assailants set the house ablaze, causing significant damage.

The victims had been residing on the government land for several years. However, individuals who had recently acquired nearby land demanded that the Dalit family vacate the area. Allegedly, the absence of a proper road to access their land exacerbated the pressure on the victims to relocate.

In the aftermath of the brutal incident, Geeta Devi filed a formal complaint with the local police, naming Ramjanam Rai, Dinesh Rai, and several unidentified individuals as the perpetrators. Law enforcement has initiated a prompt investigation, and authorities have pledged to take strict action against the culprits based on the findings.
