SRINAGAR: A dagger along with a Chinese Type-56-1 assault rifle was found on a Pakistani terrorist neutralised in a BAT attack at the LoC in Kupwara on Saturday morning.
Four to five army personnel, including a senior officer, were seriously injured, and a Pakistani terrorist was killed in a firefight along the border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara area early Saturday.

The Indian Army posted on X, “There has been a firefight with unidentified forces at an advanced post in Kamkari, Macchal Sector along the border. One Pakistani terrorist was neutralized while two of our soldiers were injured and evacuated. Operations are ongoing.”
Earlier, the Indian Army repelled an infiltration attempt in Kupwara’s Keran area, neutralizing two terrorists. On July 14, three terrorists were killed as security forces thwarted another infiltration attempt in Keran.

This week, Jammu and Kashmir has experienced two clashes between terrorists and security forces. On Wednesday, one soldier and a terrorist were killed in Kupwara.
Earlier in the week, an attack in the Rajouri area led to the death of one terrorist and minor injuries to a soldier and a civilian.
Additionally, on July 16, four Indian Army personnel, including a Captain, were killed in an encounter with terrorists in the Koti forests of the Doda area.
