NEW DELHI: Cultivating Leadership, a globally recognized leader in leadership development, has announced its entry into India through a joint venture with Delhi-based consulting firm The Core Questin. This collaboration is set to establish a new company operating under the name “Cultivating Leadership,” bringing globally tested leadership tools and frameworks tailored to the Indian market.
This strategic partnership marks a significant step in addressing the growing demand for leadership development in India. Cultivating Leadership, a certified B Corporation, is renowned for its expertise in adult development and navigating complexity. Paired with The Core Questin’s rich experience within the Indian corporate sector, this venture aims to equip leaders with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly unpredictable world.
A new entity, Cultivating Leadership India, will be established to deliver innovative and cutting-edge leadership solutions. The venture will be jointly led by Keith Johnston from Cultivating Leadership and Shweta Anand Arora from The Core Questin, with support from leadership teams across both organizations. Clients will gain access to tools and frameworks grounded in rigorous theory, complemented by the expertise of Cultivating Leadership’s global community of over 90 coaches, advisors, and facilitators spanning regions such as Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
By combining The Core Questin’s deep understanding of the Indian market with Cultivating Leadership’s proven global capabilities, the partnership aims to address the unique challenges of the Indian corporate landscape effectively.
India, with its cultural diversity and economic potential, presents a fertile ground for innovative leadership solutions. A 2021 EY survey of global board directors highlighted the increasing frequency and impact of market disruptions, with only 52% of respondents confident in their companies’ ability to manage interconnected risks. Events like the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions have emphasized the need for leaders to embrace uncertainty and foster adaptability.
Jennifer Garvey Berger, Co-Founder and CEO of Cultivating Leadership, described India as a “key frontier for growth,” emphasizing the need for a tailored approach to leadership development. “India’s rich cultural diversity and vibrant complexity require thoughtful strategies. Partnering with The Core Questin allows us to create experiences that help leaders not just navigate but thrive amidst these complexities,” she said.
Shweta Anand Arora, CEO of The Core Questin, highlighted the challenges faced by Indian leaders. “The demands on leaders today are immense—balancing growth, technological shifts, and workforce dynamics in a landscape fraught with uncertainty. This partnership brings tools and frameworks that are not only cutting-edge but also offer hope by showing leaders how to grow themselves to handle complexity with ease and joy,” she remarked.
Keith Johnston will travel to India later this month to finalize the joint venture and chart a roadmap for the partnership. In February 2025, Cultivating Leadership’s global leaders, including Jennifer Garvey Berger, will join the India team for alignment activities and a roadshow to engage with clients and stakeholders.
