Directing law enforcement agencies to work in close coordination, the LG emphasized the need for intensified efforts to dismantle terrorism and disrupt its support networks.
โUnder the visionary leadership of Honโble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Jammu & Kashmir is moving towards peace, development, and prosperity. I have immense confidence in your courage, strategic initiatives, and institutional framework to make the region free from terror. Enhanced intelligence gathering, operational synergy, and precision-driven counterterrorism actions are critical in addressing emerging security challenges,โ said the Lieutenant Governor.
He underscored the necessity of a multi-pronged approach to tackling terrorism, advocating for strengthened operational efficiency across all security fronts. The LG further directed officials to strictly enforce the attachment of properties linked to terror financing and narco-terror cases.
Calling for an aggressive strategy to track and eliminate foreign terrorists operating in the region, the LG stressed the importance of dismantling the larger terror infrastructure aiding hostile elements.
โA zero-tolerance policy must be maintained against terrorism. Security forces have been given a free hand to neutralize terror networks operating in the shadows. Those financing and sheltering terrorists will face severe consequences,โ he asserted.

โStrict legal action must be taken against those misusing cyberspace to propagate disinformation and incite unrest. We must proactively counter radical ideologies and uphold the law,โ he added.
The LG also urged law enforcement to enhance public engagement, prioritize grievance redressal, and strengthen community relations, reinforcing the importance of trust between security personnel and citizens.
โEvery individual must feel safe and protected. It is your solemn duty to safeguard the common man and deal firmly with terrorism and its enablers,โ he concluded.
This meeting comes after Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday (February 12, 2025) chaired a high level security review meeting in New-Delhi. Tuesdayโs meeting followed a series of high-level discussions held on February 4 and 5 with the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The Union Home Minister instructed the Border Security Force (BSF) to enforce absolute infiltration prevention along the international border. He directed the force to enhance surveillance through advanced technology, bolster border security measures, and maintain strict vigilance.
The Home Minister also instructed the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to sustain close coordination with the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police while executing its responsibilities in the Union Territory. Reviewing the CRPFโs winter security strategy, he emphasized eliminating any gaps in security dominance, particularly in the Jammu region and strategic high-altitude areas.
