Crackdown on Counterfeit VLCC Product Manufacturing in Delhi's Sadar Bazar

NEW DELHI: A significant crackdown on counterfeit product manufacturing led to the arrest of a man in Sadar Bazar, New Delhi. The man, identified as Nabi Alam (28), was allegedly operating units manufacturing counterfeit VLCC products.

Following a tip-off, a raid was conducted on April 4 at Krishan Building, Gali Bazazan, Sadar Bazar. The police reported that the unit had been in operation for a long time. A team of senior officials from the DIU unit of the Delhi Police conducted the raid, which was filmed.

The police recovered a large number of counterfeit VLCC items during the raid. “A total of 24 pieces of counterfeit VLCC Facial Kit were found in a white plastic bag. Additionally, there were 36 pieces (500g each), consisting of 8 pieces of counterfeit VLCC whitening D-TAN Pack, 9 pieces of counterfeit VLCC whitening D-TAN Cleaner, 9 pieces of counterfeit VLCC whitening D-TAN Scrub, and 10 pieces of counterfeit VLCC whitening D-TAN Cream. All these items were stored in a white plastic bag,” an official reported.

FIR

An FIR was filed under sections 63/65 of the Copyright Act and sections 103/104 of the Trademark Act at the Sadar Bazar Police Station. The police also recorded the statement of the accused in connection with this incident. A senior police official mentioned that they were trying to ascertain who else was involved with him.
