Backlash mounts against BLM Chicago for apparent support of Hamas Aattack on Israel

NEW DELHI: A Chicago-based Black Lives Matter chapter has come under criticism for what appears to be endorsing the Hamas offensive against Israel. The organisation, taking to social media, uploaded a picture of a person paragliding with a Palestinian flag affixed to their parachute. The image had, โ€œI stand with Palestineโ€ written on it.

โ€œThat is all that is it!โ€ the post was captioned. In fact, they didnโ€™t limit themselves to a single post; they continued to share a series of graphic cartoons, all bearing the same caption, as an expression of their solidarity with Palestine.

In reaction to their posts, Black Lives Matter faced significant criticism and trolling online for backing Palestine. Taking to the commentโ€™s section, one user wrote, โ€œThanks for letting us all know who you really are.โ€ โ€œThe fact that they still havenโ€™t deleted this tweet is CRAZY,โ€ another remarked, while a third added, โ€œOne of the worst posts Iโ€™ve ever seen.โ€

โ€œThis is vile. I donโ€™t know how Iโ€™m surprised you went this low,โ€ a fourth shared, while a fifth reacted, โ€œShame on you. Totally discrediting the BLM cause.โ€ A sixth stated, โ€œThanks for showing the world what you really stand for. I already knew, but many didnโ€™t.โ€

A seventh ranted, โ€œThe mask is off, and what we are going to find out in the coming weeks is going to be much more shocking when we realise that most of corporate America will still be supporting BLM and its genocidal policies. All brands that still contribute to BLM need to be singled out and boycotted. That is the only way.โ€

Meanwhile, numerous distressing videos from the war zone have gone viral on social media. One of these videos depicted militants forcibly taking a young woman, Noa Argamani, and driving away with her on a motorcycle while she cried out for assistance. In the footage, the men can be seen restraining her boyfriend, Avinatan Or, and compelling him to walk with his hands bound behind his back. The duo is among a group of Israelis thought to be currently held captive in Gaza.

Another bone-chilling footage has captured the moment an Israeli mother and her two young boys were abducted by Hamas terrorists during the attack over the weekend. 30-year-old Shiri Silberman-Bibas appeared visibly distressed and frightened in the video as she clutched her children, three years old and nine months old, as the terrorists took them away.
