Conspiracy To Humiliate PM Modi Was Led At Channi Office: SAD’s Majithia

CHANDIGARH: Soon after getting interim bail from Punjab and Haryana High Court, senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia accused Punjab chief minister Charanjit Channi of using police and his close men to humiliate Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ferozepur, saying he stands exposed after “using and throwing” even the DGP-rank officer Siddhartha Chattopadhya.
“This was a well planned conspiracy which was hatched at the chief minister’s residence with the CM himself  being the prime conspirator,” Majithia told reporters , pressing for probe to find out who gave instructions on route  clearance to compromise the safety of PM.
Lashing out on Congress government decision to focus on vendetta politics during the last three months, Majithia said “Never before in the history of the State have three DGPs and four Directors of the Bureau of Investigation (BOI) been changed in such a short period”.
He said the chief minister  held meetings on a daily basis to frame him in a false case.
“You can imagine the moral of police and his Congress men, that this man conspired against them to become a chief minister, leaving everyone behind in his party, humiliate PM Modi and then even use and throw DGP Chattopadhyaya to build a case against me,” Majithia told reporters.
“He has trust issues within his own party and they dislike him too,” he said.
“The DGP, who was given the top post in the State for a twenty day period despite not being eligible for the same, has immensely damaged Punjab by his irresponsible acts,” Majithia added.
He also said that earlier also the country have witnessed how the persons who had come to garland former PM Rajiv Gandhi assassinated him.
He said that he is very thankful to lakhs of Punjabis who prayed for his well being besides the judicial system and politicians across political lines including Congress ministers who believed in him.
Majithia also made it clear that he would respect the judicial process and would continue to do so.
