Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of the North Eastern Region says people will teach them a lesson again in the coming elections
G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Development of the North Eastern Region, slams the Congress for disrupting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in Rajya Sabha.
Union Minister Reddy stated that the Congress has yet to learn from its election defeats and that people will not vote for them again in the coming elections.
Slamming Congress, Reddy also noted that Congress leaders do not have faith in the top leadership. He also said that Congress does not believe in the institutions of the country.
Speaking to The New Indian after PM Modi’s address to Rajya Sabha on a motion of thanks to President Draupadi Murmu’s speech, Reddy said, “This was for the first time that a Prime minister was not allowed to speak in Rajya Sabha for over one and half hours. This is not the tradition of India or the tradition of Parliament.”
Despite losing so many elections, Reddy claims that Congress has yet to learn its lesson. “People have seen what happened in Parliament,” he says. And in the coming elections, people will teach them a lesson.”
“They are still trying to bring the family despite our strong democracy and the constitution made by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar,” Reddy said, attacking the Gandhi family.
The Union minister also pointed out that Congress will not get the support of the people. “As the Prime minister said in the Rajya Sabha, the more they spread lies, the more they throw mud on us, the lotus will bloom,” he said.
Reddy also slammed Congress, saying that efforts were made to discredit the country’s scientists, who gave vaccines to a world reeling under the wrath of the COVID pandemic.
To a question about PM Modi highlighting that Congress was trying to insult the scientists of the country by questioning their achievements, Reddy said, “Lives of people from 150 nations were saved by our vaccines. Congress does not trust India’s institutions, the judiciary, the Election Commission, or the armed forces, and they do not trust their leaders.”
“Congress is a party of trust breakers,” Reddy said, referring to PM Modi’s speech where he said that Congress leader and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi used the President’s Rule 50 times to topple the state government.
PM Modi further said that they (Congress) used to say ‘Gareebi Hatao’ but did nothing for over four decades. “We are working hard to meet the expectations and aspirations of the people of the country,” he said.
“Kharge Ji complains that I visited Kalaburagi. He should see the work done there. 1.70 crore Jan Dhan bank accounts have opened in Karnataka, including over 8 lakh accounts in Kalaburagi. So many people are getting empowered,” PM Modi said.
