NEW DELHI: Hitting back at former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, who compared the current dispensation at the Centre with Hitler, Union minister Giriraj Singh said that Congress, which imposed the Emergency, is the biggest Hitler.
“They imposed Emergency, muzzled Press, put politicians in jail. Who can be bigger Hitler than them?” Singh said.
He added that they (Congress) ruled for 60 years after Independence and killed democracy in the country by imposing an Emergency.
On Rahul’s remark that his family has sacrificed for the country, Singh said that it is the people of India who have sacrificed; it is those people who were sidelined for years, who have sacrificed.
Taking a dig at the Gandhi family, Singh said that looting the country is not a sacrifice.
