Chennai Rains: Female Cop Carries Unconscious Man Trapped Under Tree On Shoulders, Saves His Life

CHANNAI: When the going gets tough, the tough get going. The human embodiment of that phrase was brought to life by TP Chatram Police Station Inspector Rajeshwari. A video of a woman police inspector carrying an unconscious man on her shoulder on the Internet won her public appreciation on Thursday. According to reports, the 28 year old man, identified as Udayakumar was found lying unconscious under a tree near a cemetery in TP Chatram amid heavy rains in several regions across Tamil Nadu. In the video, the inspector can be seen heaving the man on her shoulder and taking him to a hospital in an auto.

Supriya Sahu IAS also shared the video on her twitter handle and wrote: “No one has shoulders as strong as you Inspector Rajeshwari. Helping out an unconscious man in terrible rains and rushing him to a nearby hospital in an auto is indeed laudable.”

After the video went viral, people across social media started appreciating her.

Tamil Nadu has been badly affected by incessant rains and Chennai has been badly hit with the issue of water logging. Chennai airport has also suspended arrival till 6 pm on Thursday.
