NEW DELHI: Aviation Security Culture Week 2024 is being celebrated from August 5th to 11th, highlighting the unwavering commitment to safety and security across India’s airports.
At Delhi Airport, the spotlight was on their highly trained canine team. The airport’s social media post proudly displayed images of these “four-legged heroes,” describing them as the “pawsomely ultimate guardians” ensuring the safety of all travelers. This tribute underscored the critical role that these dogs play in maintaining security at one of the country’s busiest airports.
In Karnataka, Belagavi Airport marked the occasion with a significant event. The ceremony was inaugurated by Shri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, alongside Shri Satish Jarkiholi, Minister for PWD, and Madam Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Minister for Women and Child Development. The airport expressed gratitude to these dignitaries on their Twitter handle, acknowledging their support and presence.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security shared on X, “BCAS makes history. We’re proud to announce the successful completion of our first-ever hybrid training program with 15 nationwide ASTIs, on Cybersecurity, led by renowned expert pavanduggal.” This innovation is aimed at streamlining assessments and enhancing the efficiency of training for aviation security personnel.
To mark this occasion, BCAS conducted streamlining assessments, enhancing efficiency at BCAS which takes a giant leap in digital transformation. They also conducted their first-ever online examination on an in-house developed portal, in technical collaboration with BISAG-N.
