CBSE gives final reminder to schools to update websites; upload teachers’ details

CBSE reminds all schools to update their websites and add their teachers' details

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a final reminder to its affiliated schools to create websites and upload all required details about their teachers, qualifications, and other important information and documents.

This is part of the mandatory public disclosure guidelines set by the board.

CBSE first issued instructions on this matter in March 2021 and sent a reminder in May 2021. However, many schools still don’t have proper websites or have only partially uploaded the required information.

In a recent announcement, CBSE highlighted that while certain schools have uploaded the necessary information, the links to the corresponding documents are currently inactive.

In other cases, schools have not displayed the links prominently on their website’s home page, making them hard to find.

To ensure compliance, CBSE has given schools 30 days to upload all required information and documents clearly and completely. Schools that fail to meet this deadline will face penalties and actions as per CBSE rules.

Schools that have uploaded their information are encouraged to review their websites to confirm that all details are accurate and easily accessible. If any errors or missing details are found, they must fix them immediately.

CBSE emphasized that schools must follow the guidelines properly to ensure transparency and accountability. Schools are urged to act quickly to avoid penalties.
