KOLKATA: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the results for this year’s class 12th exam with an overall pass percentage of 92.71 per cent.
Incidentally, the pass percentage this year is lower than last year’s 99.37 per cent.
“Looking into the Pandemic, no personal media briefing is organized by the CBSE,” the board authority said.
In gender-wise pass percentage, girls have done better than boys. The pass percentage of girls is 94.54 per cent whereas in boys it is 91.25 per cent. The transgender category recorded a 100 per cent pass percentage.
Students can see the results on its official website, cbseresults.nic.in and results.cbse.nic.in. Students can download their mark sheet from these websites using their board exam roll number, date of birth and school code.
Zone-wise, Trivandrum scored 98.83 per cent, closely followed by Bengaluru with 98.16 per cent and Chennai at 97.79 per cent in full subjects.
Dehradun and Prayagraj showed the lowest with 85.39 per cent and 83.71 per cent respectively.
The total number of candidates registered for the examination is 14,44,341 against which 14,35,366 appeared for the exams. A total of 13,30,662 students have cleared the exam.
