NEW DELHI: In a major crackdown on trans-border crimes, the Border Security Force (BSF) under the Guwahati Frontier has successfully seized Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) during a special search operation in the South Salmara Mankachar district of Assam.
Acting on credible intelligence, personnel of the 45 Battalion BSF launched a meticulously planned operation in the border area. As a result, Fake Indian Currency Notes with a face value of Rs 1.97 lakh were recovered.
Given the sensitive nature of the Indo-Bangladesh border and the increasing activities of trans-border smugglers and anti-national elements, the BSF has intensified its operations to curb illegal activities.
This latest seizure marks another significant achievement in the forceโs ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and other cross-border crimes.
The BSF remains committed to securing Indiaโs borders, ensuring national security, and upholding the integrity of the nation. Officials have reiterated their resolve to continue stringent surveillance and operations against trans-border crime networks.
