KOLKATA: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) continues to make inroads in the Bengal SSC Recruitment Scam as they are now searching at four more premises related to Arpita Mukherjee, the aide of former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee.

ED is searching Mukherjee’s New Town and Baguihati flats.

ED sources said that four more ‘close female aides’, including an IAS officer, of Chatterjee are being probed in Bengal SSC Scam.

Sources also said that other TMC leaders also apparently visited Mukherjee’s flats.

On Wednesday, Mukherjee allegedly said that the TMC strongman Chatterjee used to keep money at her home.

Mukherjee, a key aide of the Bengal minister, is in the spotlight after ED recovered more than ₹51 crores from her premises in Diamond City and Belghoria.

Mukherjee, who is in ED custody, apparently said that not only the Bengal minister but also his aides used to come and keep the money. “At times Partho himself used to come. I had no permission to go into that room where money was kept. I had no idea that the amount is so huge,” Mukherjee had said.
