NEW DELHI: Bollywood power couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone released their wedding video during their recent appearance on โKoffee with Karan 8โ and took the internet by storm. The duo had tied the knot in Italy in 2018 in the presence of family and close friends.
Deepika and Ranveer made their appearance as the inaugural guests on the talk show. During the show, they presented a 4-minute video capturing their wedding, which featured ceremonies in both Sikh and South Indian traditions in Italy.
It also revealed that Ranveer had proposed to Deepika in the Maldives, following which, they immediately took a plane to Bengaluru to visit her parents and tell them they were engaged. Though at first, Deepikaโs mother wasnโt overly happy about her daughterโs choice, with time Ranveer made a way into her heart.
Prakash Padukone, Deepikaโs father and a former badminton champion, added that Ranveer adds some craziness and excitement to an otherwise โboringโ family of the four Padukones.
After seeing the video, Karan Joharโs eyes teared up to see the love between both the stars. He also shared that he has been single for a while and hence after seeing the breathtaking video, he wishes to have someone in his life.
He said, โI feel like what am I losing out on not being in one. You feel like you donโt have a partner to share with nothings of the day.โ
While Karanโs mother and children hold a deep affection for him, the unmarried Karan admitted that from time to time, he yearns for a partner with whom to enjoy lifeโs simple joys. Deepika provided reassurance, suggesting that the right companion would come into his life at the appropriate moment. She also discussed the importance of finding the perfect match rather than rushing into marriage with the wrong person, which could lead to future regrets. According to him, remaining single is a better choice than making such a mistake.
For the unversed, famous producer and director Karan Johar is the host of the show that has been the talk of the town for many years in the film industry.
