BJP releases fourth list of candidates for Delhi Assembly Elections 2025

NEW DLHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its fourth list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2025.

Approved by the party’s Central Election Committee (CEC), the list includes candidates for nine key constituencies in the national capital.

Prominent names featured in the fourth list include Shri Ravinder Kumar (Indraj) from Bawana (SC), Smt. Poonam Sharma from Wazirpur, and Shri Bhuvan Tanwar from Delhi Cantt.

Other candidates like Shri Chandan Kumar Choudhary from Sangam Vihar and Smt. Shikha Rai from Greater Kailash also mark significant additions to the party’s lineup.

Additionally, Shri Ravikant Ujjain has been fielded from Trilokpuri (SC), while Shri Sanjay Goyal will represent Shahdara. For constituencies like Babarpur and Gokalpur (SC), the party has nominated Shri Anil Vashisth and Shri Praveen Nimesh, respectively.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for a major comeback in Delhi after nearly three decades.

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the charge and a revamped strategy, the BJP is set to challenge the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader, Arvind Kejriwal, in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections.

While the BJP is determined to end its 27-year drought in the capital, the AAP remains confident in securing a third consecutive term and maintaining its dominance.

Delhi’s political landscape, which has been shaped by AAP’s sweeping victories in 2015 and 2020, is now at a pivotal moment as the BJP intensifies its efforts for a triumphant return.

The Delhi Assembly elections are set to be held in a single phase on February 5, 2025, with the results to be announced on February 8, 2025.

The timeline for candidates includes January 17 as the last date for filing nominations, January 18 for the scrutiny of nominations, and January 20 as the deadline for withdrawing candidature.

The current Assembly’s term concludes on February 23, 2025, marking the end of the Aam Aadmi Party’s second term in office.
