New Delhi: The BJP has once again demonstrated its dominance in Delhi by winning all seven parliamentary seats in the capital, a streak they have maintained for the last three consecutive elections.
In a strategic move, the BJP replaced all their candidates except Manoj Tiwari. The new candidates included Ramesh Bidhuri for South Delhi, Bansuri Swaraj for New Delhi, Praveen Khandelwal for Chandni Chowk, Harish Malhotra for East Delhi, Yogendra Chandolia for Northwest Delhi, and Kamaljeet Sehrawat for West Delhi. Manoj Tiwari continued his run from Northeast Delhi.

The INDIA alliance had high hopes, fielding Kanhaiya Kumar against Manoj Tiwari in Northeast Delhi, anticipating a tough contest. However, Tiwari emerged victorious, solidifying his stature within the BJP. His victory has potentially set him up for a significant role if the NDA forms the government.
Bansuri Swaraj, the daughter of the late Sushma Swaraj, made a remarkable debut by winning the New Delhi seat against AAP’s Somnath Bharti. Bharti, who had confidently declared he would shave his head if the BJP came to power, faced a resounding defeat as Swaraj secured a large margin of victory.
Kamaljeet Sehrawat’s triumph in West Delhi against AAP’s Mahabal Mishra has positioned her as a prominent Jat leader in the capital. Similarly, Yogendra Chandolia’s victory over Congress’s Udit Raj has elevated him as the new SC/ST face of the BJP.

The BJP’s clean sweep has left the INDIA alliance struggling to establish a foothold in Delhi. Both AAP and Congress had boasted they would win all seven seats, but their claims fell flat as the BJP’s stronghold remained unshaken.
Manoj Tiwari’s continued success has not only reinforced his influence in Delhi but also highlighted his importance in the BJP’s broader strategy. His consistent wins and growing prominence signal his readiness for major responsibilities in the party’s future endeavors.
In conclusion, the BJP’s unwavering success in Delhi reflects its strategic candidate selections and the electorate’s trust, leaving the INDIA alliance to reassess its approach for future elections.
