NEW DELHI: A political controversy has emerged following remarks by Ramesh Bidhuri, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Delhi’s Kalkaji assembly constituency. During a public rally, Bidhuri stated, “I assure you that just as we made the roads in Okhla and Sangam Vihar, we will make all the roads in Kalkaji like Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks.”

The comment has drawn sharp criticism from various political leaders. Congress leader Supriya Shrinate condemned the remark as “shameful,” accusing the BJP of fostering an anti-women mindset. She expressed her disgust on social media, stating, “Ramesh Bidhuri’s statement regarding Priyanka Gandhi is not only shameful but also shows his disgusting mentality towards women.”
